Filmmaker and Celebrity MasterChef judge Farah Khan has once again found herself at the center of controversy. This time, social media users have criticized her for making an insensitive remark about actor and contestant Gaurav Khanna’s color blindness.
During a recent episode, contestants were tasked with preparing a dish inspired by Farah Khan’s signature roast chicken. When Gaurav presented his dish, the judges were unimpressed with his plating, noting that he had used the same colors throughout. In response, Gaurav revealed that he is color blind.
While chef Vikas Khanna showed understanding and empathy, Farah appeared dismissive, responding with, “What rubbish?” She then pointed to Vikas’ red jacket and jokingly asked Gaurav if he saw it as blue. Gaurav replied that the color appeared somewhere between red and orange to him.
A clip from the episode quickly gained traction on X (formerly Twitter), sparking outrage. Viewers criticized Farah for her reaction, with one user commenting, “It was incredibly ignorant on the judges’ part, especially Farah’s. I’m not saying he deserves sympathy for his weakness—he himself never sought it. However, that doesn’t give them the right to mock him or react the way they did.”

Some users also called Farah Khan “insensitive” for her remark.
This isn’t the first time Farah has been embroiled in controversy recently. Earlier this month, she faced legal trouble after a criminal complaint was filed against her over allegedly derogatory remarks about Holi.
The complaint, filed by social media personality Vikash Fhatak, also known as Hindustani Bhau, at Khar Police Station, sought legal action against the filmmaker for comments made during another episode of Celebrity MasterChef.
