Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria narrowly escaped a Sidhu Moosewala-style f*ring attack on July 14 in Gurugram. Unknown assailants f*red at his Toyota Fortuner on the Southern Peripheral Road near Badshahpur. Fazilpuria, who was inside the car, escaped unhurt, while the attackers fled the scene.
Haryana Police confirmed that 2–3 bullets were f*red, likely from a Tata Harrier vehicle. CCTV footage is being reviewed and a probe is underway. Police sources revealed Fazilpuria had received threat alerts earlier, but his security had been withdrawn recently. The style of the firing drew comparisons to the 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, though no official link has been made.
The attack has sparked fear and criticism about the safety of regional artists. Fazilpuria has not issued any public statement yet. With rising threats against performers, the case has put a spotlight on gaps in celebrity security. Should state authorities boost protection for public figures?
