Singh sustained serious injuries, including brain trauma and multiple facial fractures. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and remains under medical care. A 20-year-old man from Enfield has been arrested and charged with assault causing harm. However, other suspects fled the scene and are yet to be identified. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and have appealed for public assistance in tracking down the remaining attackers.
Speaking about the ordeal, Singh said, “Things like this, when they happen, it makes you feel like you should go back. You can change anything in your body, but you can’t change the colours.”
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas condemned the attack, calling it completely unwelcome in the state.
