Amitabh Bachchan Movies To Re-Release In 4-Day Film Festival To Celebrate Actor’s 80th Birthday

Amitabh Bachchan, the most celebrated and loved veteran actor of the Bollywood Film Industry will be celebrating his 80th birthday on 11 October 2022. He is considered a living legendary actor in Bollywood and enjoys a massive fan following. And to celebrate Amitabh’s 80th year, Film Heritage Foundation is organising a special 4-day long film festival. 

The film festival especially dedicated to Mr Bachchan and his fans will be titled ‘Bachchan Back To The Beginning’. It will open on October 8 and close on October 11, the star’s birthday. The festival will cover 172 showcases and 30 screens across 22 cinema halls all over India.

Amitabh Bachchan’s 11 superhit and highly acclaimed movies; Don, Kaala Patthar, Kaalia, Kabhie Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halaal, Abhimaan, Deewar, Mili, Satte Pe Satta, and Chupke Chupke.

Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda, Raipur, Kanpur, Kolhapur, Indore, and Bachchan’s hometown Prayagraj will witness the grand celebration of Amitabh Bachchan’s 80th birthday with this film festival. 

Amitabh Bachchan expressed his feelings about the same and said, “It is a remarkable initiative of the Film Heritage Foundation and PVR to showcase not just my work, but the work of my directors, fellow actors and technicians of the time who made these films possible. It brings back an era that is gone, but not forgotten. This is why saving India’s film heritage is so important. I hope that this is just the beginning of many festivals that will celebrate landmark films of Indian cinema back on the big screen.”

PVR has released a special movie pass for fans interested in this Film Festival. It will cost 400 INR and allow the fans to enjoy Amitabh Bachchan movies on any day of the event. Individually, the ticket for each film will cost 80 INR.

Dungarpur, director of Film Heritage Foundation, said, “Growing up, I was the biggest Amitabh Bachchan fan. I am so glad that the Film Heritage Foundation is paying tribute to Mr Bachchan on his 80th birthday with the first-of-its-kind country-wide four-day festival.”
