FIR Registered Against Punjabi Singer Singga For Gun Firing In Viral Social Media Video

Punjabi Singer Singga has invited legal trouble for him. An FIR has been registered against the popular singer at the Sohana police station, Mohali. The artist was seen firing a gun at a public place in a viral social media video and has fallen prey to the hands of the law for the same.

This is not the first time a Punjabi celebrity has put himself in legal trouble for cases related to guns. The Punjabi industry has had a history of criticism for promoting gun culture in their songs and having a bad impact on the youth and many Punjabi singers have landed themselves in trouble for the same.

The FIR no. 336 under IPC Section 25 under the Indian Arms Act has been registered against the singer. Previously, a case under the arms act was registered against Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala after a video went viral wherein the singer was seen firing a policeman’s AK-47.

Lately, the criticism of the promotion of gun culture in Punjabi songs has seen a big increase. Every other song is criticized for containing too much content related to guns, violence and such items. Punjab’s youth looks up to the artists of Punjab and various social workers and societies hold the Punjabi music industry responsible for having a bad impact on them and making them gun and violence-centric rather than being career-oriented and work for the betterment of the society.

Now that the FIR has been registered at the Sohana Police Station, Mohali, the Police is expected to bring forward the details of the case soon. We hope the Police ensure that in any case, justice prevails.
