Flight With 100+ Indian Students Evacuated From Iran Safely Lands in Delhi Airport

A special flight carrying over 100 Indian students, who were evacuated from conflict-ridden Iran through Armenia, safely arrived in New Delhi. The students had been stranded amid the growing unrest in Iran and were moved to Armenia before being repatriated to India.

According to official sources, the Indian Embassy in Tehran coordinated closely with Armenian authorities and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to ensure the safe passage of the students. The evacuation was carried out as part of India’s efforts to bring back its citizens from conflict zones.

The flight took off from Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, and landed in Delhi late on Monday. Families gathered at the airport, relieved to welcome their children home after days of anxiety and uncertainty.

Government officials confirmed that all students on board are in good health. Medical check-ups were conducted upon arrival as a safety precaution.

The MEA released a statement appreciating the support extended by Armenian authorities and reiterated India’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens abroad, especially during times of geopolitical instability.

This evacuation mission highlights the Indian government’s prompt action and diplomatic coordination in the face of an international crisis. The situation in Iran remains tense, and India is closely monitoring developments.

Further assistance will be provided to any remaining Indian nationals in the region as needed.
