Looop Lapeta
The official remake of 1998 German film Run Lola Run, Looop Lapeta stars Taapsee Pannu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Rajendra Chawla, Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Aakash Bhatia.
From the trailer, it has been depicted that this film deals with the plot of a woman who needs to obtain 100,000 Deutsche Mark within 20 minutes to save her boyfriend’s life. She is stuck in a time loop and gets multiple chances to save his life.
It was released on 4 February, 2022 on Netflix
Rocket Boys
The film is packed with all the flavours of a good binge-drama, comedy, and awe-inspiring tales that mirror the real-life events of the duo. Rocket Boys features Ishwak Singh and Jim Sarbh and is directed by Abhay Pannu.
The trailer of the movie shows the space program in India when the pioneers like Dr Homi J Bhaba lived. The legendary character of Homi Bhaba was played by Jim Sharbh and Ishwak Singh played the role of another historical personality Dr Vikram Sarabhai. The film may surely enthuse the young audience. It seems like the series throws light on how the duo first became friends and together envisioned working on India’s nuclear program.
The film was released on Sony LIV on 4 February, 2022.
Gehraiyaan
Gehraiyaan features Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in the lead roles along with Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur in pivotal roles. The film has been helmed by Shakun Batra.
‘Gehraiyaan’ touches upon relationships in their various forms, navigating through complex modern relations, adulting, letting go, and taking control of one’s life. Netizens believed that the trailer of Gehraiyaan reminded them of Karan Johar’s 2006 directorial Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, which also dealt with infidelity.
Gehraiyaan is releasing on 11 February, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.
A Thursday
One of the anticipated films starring Yami Gautam, Neha Dhupia, Atul Kulkarni, Dimple Kapadia and Karanvir Sharma is helmed by Behzad Khambata.
The trailer of ‘A Thursday’ promises an intriguing drama with strong elements of a thriller. The actor seems to be playing somewhat of an anti-hero in the film. For now, it is made to appear that Gautam’s character, Naina has a twisty side to her with secrets buried in the recesses of her mind that threaten to overwhelm the country. In the two-minute trailer, we see Naina, a school teacher, taking 16 students of her kindergarten school hostage.

Starring Shruti Hassan, Mithun Chakraborty, Arjan Bajwa, Satyajeet Dubey, Gauahar Khan and Sonalee Kulkarni in major roles. The film which would be a perfect blend of suspense and drama is directed by Mukul Abhyankar.
The web series is bound to take us into the depths of the human psyche where each character brings to fore mind games getting unfolded layer by layer. Touted to be a ‘new-age nail-biting thriller, Bestseller reminds us of an unputdownable novel that weaves a world where every action by its characters will have multiple repercussions.
It will be released on 18 February, 2022 on Amazon Prime.
The Fame Game
The Fame Game is much to the delight of fans. It features Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Suhasini Mulay and Muskkaan Jaferi, among others. The film has been helmed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli.
The trailer is studded with glimpses of Anamika’s (Madhuru Dixit) ‘imperfect’ life and has snippets of a gun being fired, her emotional turmoil and untrustworthy family ties. As her dark secrets spill out, they hint at a complicated life that Anamika may have been leading behind the facade of a superstar. The Fame Game is likely to continue the trend of engaging content. As it features striking lines such as ‘aaj khud ke liye kuch karna hai’ and ‘woh khud ko kaise yaad rakhe‘, which pique curiosity.
