From Shehnaaz Gill To Poonam Pandey: List Of Celebrities To Participate In Kangana Ranuat’s Reality Show Lock Upp

Kangana Ranaut seems to be on a roll. As the ‘Queen’ fame will soon be hosting a show created by producer Ekta Kapoor. The reality TV show is called Lock Upp, and will involve locking celebrities up in jail cells and asking them questions, demanding the truth. In the show, there would be 16 contestants and they would be locked-up for 72 days, and the host would play the role of a jailer.

Further, speaking about the nature of the show, Ekta Kapoor said it will be “full of truth and controversies”. It’s a first-of-its-kind concept, unlike anything witnessed before not only on Indian television or Indian OTT platforms, but also in the West.

It is also reported from the Bollywood Life that Poonam Pandey, known for courting controversies and giving bold statements will be a part of the show as well. Along with her, spiritual leader, bestselling author and founder of the Black Lotus App Om Swami have apparently been approached to come on board as contestants. Further reports streamed in with names like Shweta Tiwari, Anushka Sen, Rohman Shawl and Shehnaaz Gill as the suggested participants of the upcoming show.

As per Bollywood Life, Sana has given her nod to be a part of Kangana Ranaut-led Lock Upp. A source close to the development reveals, “Shehnaaz Gill has been approached to be part of Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp and she even agreed to do it, Shehnaaz is right now going through the rough phase in life and she wants to stay away from the media glare and the world for a while and this is the best opportunity or her.”

“Also, Shehnaaz has won millions of hearts and she will be one of the strongest contestants in the house and will definitely get some special power to be in the Lock Upp,” they further added.

Makers of Lock Upp have also approached author Chetan Bhagat. Meanwhile, the audiences will be empowered to punish or award their chosen contestants and even play ‘Khabri’ to some of them. Produced by Endemol Shine India, the show will premier on ALTBalaji & MX Player from 27th February 2022.
