Date after date, year after year Tarsem Jassar’s upcoming Punjabi movie Galwakdi has been postponed many times now. Its shooting has been completed for a very long time and it was set to release on 11 June 2021 but COVID striked and it got postponed.
Later, Galwakdi was announced to be released at the end of 2021, on 31 January, but due to some theatre restrictions and Corona, the team decided to push the release date once more. Now, the actors have finally made their announcement on the release of this much awaited movie by posting the official poster on Instagram with the next and final release date of the movie, if everything happens to be normal and on track then it is going to release on 8 April 2022 in cinemas.
Galwakdi, meaning a Hug Of Love, was awaited by the audience for so long and after its trailer released in mid-December 2021, the excitement and curiosity went up a level higher. Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer’s trailer was amazing and the response on its released songs were also good.

The movie is helmed by Rabb Da Radio director Sharan Art and is produced by Manpreet Johal, Ashu Munish Sahni, Savin Sarin & Aniket Kawade. Whereas, Galwakdi is written by the writer who is known for his beautiful writing, Jagdeep Singh Warring. The movie will be released under Vehli Janta Records and OmJee Star Studios & will star Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead characters.
Let us just be excited as we are now, and wait for the official release of this film on 8 April 2022 in theatres worldwide.
