Gautam Gambhir Receives D*ath Threat from ISIS Kashmir, Files Complaint for Family’s Safety

Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team, has reportedly received a dath threat from ‘ISIS Kashmir’ following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday. According to an ANI report, Gambhir’s office confirmed that he received two threatening emails—one in the afternoon and another in the evening—both containing the chilling message “I Kll You.” In response to the threat, the former BJP MP filed a formal complaint with the Delhi Police and requested enhanced security measures for his family.

This is not the first time Gambhir has faced such threats. Back in November 2021, while serving as a Member of Parliament, he had also received a similar threatening email. Gambhir, who is currently on a break during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season, had recently returned to India after a holiday with his family in France.

Gambhir’s appointment as Team India’s head coach in July 2024 came after Rahul Dravid’s tenure, and since then, he has been working closely with the team. While Gambhir has largely remained out of the public spotlight following India’s Champions Trophy win in March, this latest incident has brought his name back into the news. Gambhir’s swift action in reporting the threat highlights his commitment to ensuring the safety of his family during such unsettling times.
