The Punjab government has imposed strict restrictions due to the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic hitting the country. Punjab is a major victim of the second wave and is reporting an increased number of cases everyday.
The state government had decided to impose weekend lockdown to control the spread. But Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal was found to be breaking the norms. He, along with 100 others, have been booked for allegedly shooting for a movie in a village in Patiala, while weekend lockdown was in force.
The police immediately raided the scene. Gippy Grewal stated that the shooting was going on while following the Coronavirus guidelines, but the police were reluctant to accept the statement. Blaming the team for shooting despite no permission was given by an authority, the shooting was immediately stopped.
