Amidst this, Hardik Patel has turned off the “comments” on his Facebook posts. As per the media reports, he has been provided a police protection also.

Hardik Patel, the youth icon of Patels in Gujarat, recently left the Congress party and joined the BJP. In the 2017 assembly elections, Hardik turned out to be a biggest hurdle for the BJP in Saurashtra region. He started his journey as a student leader and then led the Patel andolan, which was the major reason behind his popularity amongst the masses in Gujarat.

The Patel andolan was one of the major reasons behind the resignation of the then chief minister Anandiben Patel. Till before joining the BJP, Hardik Patel used to lash out at Central and State govt over various issues. Since his induction in the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress workers and a few other people have been sharing his old tweets and posts against the BJP.

Now, after experiencing a bad experience and more than 150 aggressive and abusive comments from the Netizens on his Facebook post, Hardik Patel has turned off the comments from his posts. The Gujarat assembly elections are to be held in November/December this year, and months before that, the political temperature in Gujarat has started rising. This is the first time that the AAP is also actively campaigning for the assembly elections in the state, while the Congress party still seems to be struggling due to infighting. While the BJP has been strongly campaigning in the state since the Uttar Pradesh assembly election results were announced.
