Gurnam Bhullar, no doubt is currently on the top height when we talk about the latest Punjabi movie releases. He was recently seen in Main Vyah Nhi Karona Tere Naal and Lekh, and both of them did quite well at the box office. But now all his focus is on his upcoming release Kokka. The film will hit the silver screens on 20 May, and Neeru Bajwa will be seen as the female lead.
The film has been an anticipated one since the day it was announced as the Gurnam-Neeru are a super fresh pair and fans are really eager to witness their on-screen chemistry. And to treat the already waiting fans, Gurnam and Neeru dropped a special post that has revealed hints about the film’s story.
Gurnaam and Neeru shared a post on their Instagram account and shared a video featuring some celebrity couples; Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, Sachin Tendulkar and Anjali Tendulkar, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. And in the voiceover, Gurnam has compared the lead characters of Kokka Akaal and Ajooni (Gurnam & Neeru) with them, which has left the fans super confused.
Since all the couples Gurnam added in the list are celebrities, there are some fans who are guessing that Kokka might be a love story of two celebrities. But if you will notice closely, you’ll realize that apart from just being celebrities, there is something else also that’s common between the couples. And that is the major age difference. Yes, all the celebrity couples Gurnam and Neeru added to the list have wives who are years older than the husband.

And this indicates that Gurnam and Neeru too will be playing characters with a similar kind of love story. In the caption of the post too, Neeru wrote a beautiful note highlighting that age doesn’t matter when it comes to true love.
The film’s story seems to be one of its kind and really interesting. It was already a much-awaited project because of the fresh pairing of Gurnam and Neeru, but the revealed theme of the film has added a lot more to our excitement.
