Haryana Presents ₹2.05 Lakh Crore Budget for 2025-26 with Future-Ready Vision  

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini presented the state budget for 2025-26, allocating ₹2.05 lakh crore to make Haryana “future capable.”  While unveiling the budget in the state Assembly, CM Saini mentioned that around 11,000 suggestions were received from various sections. A new “Department of Future” will be established to drive long-term growth.  

The budget, set at ₹2,05,017.29 crore, marks a 13.70% rise from the revised estimates of 2024-25. CM Saini, who also handles the finance portfolio, emphasized Haryana’s push for e-governance over the last decade and noted that 19 out of 217 poll promises have been fulfilled.  

In line with technological advancements, CM Saini announced, “In this direction, my proposal is to establish Haryana AI (Artificial Intelligence) Mission, in which the World Bank has assured to provide assistance of ₹474 crore.” This mission will set up AI hubs in Gurugram and Panchkula.  

To encourage startups, the government aims to attract private investors to create a ₹2,000 crore ‘fund of funds.’ Additionally, a new Substance Abuse and Narcotics Knowledge Awareness and Liberation Programme Authority will be launched to tackle drug abuse, with ₹10 crore allocated for the initiative.  

For women’s welfare, ₹5,000 crore has been proposed for ₹2,100 monthly assistance under the ‘Lado Lakshmi Yojana.’ The budget also includes a Horticulture Research Centre in Palwal and a flower market in Gurugram.
