Audiences are eagerly waiting for Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious film Ramayana, which is set to release during Diwali next year. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, the film has already built huge excitement, especially after the recent teaser received praise for its grand visuals and powerful background score. The music for the film is being composed by two legends, AR Rahman and Hollywood’s Hans Zimmer.
How much will be his screen presence?
However, fans of Sunny Deol might feel a bit let down. According to a report by India Today, Sunny, who plays Lord Hanuman in the film, will have very limited screen time in Ramayana: Part 1. He is expected to appear for just about 15 minutes, towards the end of the movie. The first part will reportedly conclude with Hanuman’s arrival, where he promises to help Ram and Laxman (played by Ravi Dubey) in their mission to rescue Sita from Ravana.
Sunny Deol’s role in Ramayana part 2
But there’s good news too. Sunny Deol’s role will be much more prominent in Ramayana: Part 2. Since the second part will focus on the intense battle between Ram and Ravana, Hanuman will be seen more often. Part 2 is slated for a Diwali 2027 release, promising more action and drama.
