Delhi, August 7, 2025 — Huma Qureshi cousin murdered case unfolded late Thursday night when Asif Qureshi (42) was stabbed to death in Nizamuddin’s Jangpura Bhogal Lane after a dispute over scooter parking outside his home. The incident occurred around 10 pm when Asif asked a man to move the vehicle blocking his entrance.
According to Asif’s wife, Shaheen, the man returned within minutes with his brother and attacked Asif with a sharp weapon. He was rushed to the National Heart Institute, East of Kailash, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police said:
“Two accused have been arrested. The weapon used in the crime has been recovered. CCTV footage is being examined to reconstruct the incident.”
Asif, who ran a poultry business, was known locally for his cordial nature. Neighbours described him as “soft-spoken” and “helpful.” The confrontation reportedly began with verbal abuse and escalated into physical violence within minutes.
This killing has raised concerns about the frequency of violent escalations in minor disputes. While Huma Qureshi has not released a statement, family members called the murder a “deep shock” and demanded swift justice.
