Jab We Met 2: Director Imtiaz Ali Breaks His Silence On The Film’s Sequel

Imtiaz Ali is counted among the best directors of Indian cinema. He has served many good stories to the audience like ‘Highway’, ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Rockstar’.

Recently, he was in the news for the biopic of Punjabi singer ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, in which Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra played the lead roles.

When Imtiaz Ali was promoting his film, the news was spread that he is coming with the second part of ‘Jab We Met’. Now recently, Imtiaz Ali has broken his silence on making Jab We Met 2 and also told why he is not able to work with Kareena Kapoor Khan again even if he wants to.

When asked about the sequel of Jab we Met 2, Imtiaz said “Why have a sequel to Jab We Met (laughs)? If people want to keep relishing the film, they can keep watching the first one! There has to be a story and a reason to make Jab We Met 2. But let’s see if it happens. Never say never!”

He further says that “I made Love Aaj Kal the second time and people didn’t love it that much (laughs). Just kidding! That’s not the reason why I don’t want to make a sequel to Jab We Met. But unless there’s a really passionate reason to make a sequel, one shouldn’t.”

Imtiaz Ali expressed his reaction about working with Kareena Kapoor Khan again and said that he wants to work with Bebo, but this opportunity is not coming.
