In US, Shashi Tharoor Slams Pakistan Over Terror Links After Pahalgam Tragedy

While addressing the global community in New York, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor sharply criticized Pakistan for its continued support of terrorism, especially in light of the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that left 26 dead. Speaking as part of India’s diplomatic outreach at the UN, Tharoor said India had responded “hard and smart,” showing strength without escalating conflict.

Tharoor emphasized that India had acted with both precision and purpose following the attack, underlining that terrorism must be confronted without compromise. He accused Pakistan of sheltering and encouraging extremist groups, calling it a long-standing threat to regional peace and global stability.

He was representing India in an event dubbed “Operation Sindoor,” a diplomatic mission aimed at strengthening global ties and exposing the truth behind cross-border terrorism. The delegation included prominent Indian-origin leaders and diplomats engaging with global leaders and communities in the US.

Tharoor’s remarks also highlighted India’s commitment to tackling terrorism with determination, while simultaneously using diplomacy to build global consensus. He stressed that the world must no longer remain silent or neutral when nations continue to back terror as a political tool.

His powerful message resonated with many Indian-Americans and global leaders present, reinforcing India’s stance on zero tolerance towards terrorism.
