INC Protesting To Save ₹2,000 Cr Of Gandhi’s: Union Minister Smriti Irani Slams Congress

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has been facing troubles as the ED summoned him as well as his mother and Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi in National Herald money laundering case. Today, Rahul Gandhi along with sister Priyanka, reached the ED office where he was questioned for more than 3 hours.

On the other hand, the workers and leaders of the Congress party have been protesting on the streets of national capital and many other states, calling it a “vendetta” of the Central govt to muzzle the voice of the opposition. Senior leaders including former CM Digvijaya Singh, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Randeep Singh Surjewala and a lot more leaders protested against the Central govt.

As quoted by news agency ANI on its official Twitter handle, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has said, “What is wrong with holding a peaceful protest march against the misuse of central agencies by the ruling government?: Congress leader & Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot at party HQ in Delhi

Rahul Gandhi will appear before ED today in the National Herald case.”

Now, Union Minister Smriti Irani has lashed out at the grand-old-party for its protests. “As the Corruption of the Congress party has been exposed, its leaders are protesting on streets. This protests are to save ₹2,000 crore of the Gandhis,” said Smriti Irani.

“The Congressmen are agitating on the streets to pressurise an investigating agency openly as their corruption has been exposed. But nobody is above the law, not even Rahul Gandhi,” she further added. This entire matter has once again started a never ending war of words between Congress and BJP.
