
Elon Musk recently shared a video of Indian athlete Vispy Kharadi, who set a new Guinness World Record for the longest duration holding Hercules pillars (male) in Surat, Gujarat. Kharadi showcased remarkable strength by holding the pillars for 2 minutes and 10.75 seconds. The pillars, which were 123 inches tall with a 20.5-inch diameter, weighed 166.7 kg and 168.9 kg. His achievement was officially recorded by Guinness World Records.

Elon Musk, impressed by this display of endurance, reshared the video originally posted by Guinness World Records’ official X handle. The footage captures Kharadi gripping two short pillars, designed in the style of Greek architecture, and holding them for over two minutes, demonstrating exceptional physical prowess.
Responding to Musk’s recognition, Kharadi expressed his joy on X, saying, “It was indeed a good surprise when I got to know that @elonmusk shared my Guinness World Record Video on X. Feeling so happy and on cloud 9. Moreover it gives me immense pride that an Indian is being praised worldwide in the field of strength.”

As per his X bio, Kharadi holds multiple black belts and has earned a Guinness World Record title 13 times. He also trains Border Security Force (BSF) commandos in unarmed combat and is a fitness expert. His previous records include crushing the most drink cans by hand in one minute and bending the highest number of iron bars using his head.
