Trying new experiences while travelling often leads to unforgettable moments and sometimes viral content. That’s exactly what happened when Indian YouTuber Devang Sethi decided to get a haircut from a roadside barber in China for just ₹119.
While exploring the area, Sethi came across a Chinese street barber who had no typical setup, not even a mirror. Carrying only a bag full of tools and a chair for his customers, the barber’s simplicity caught Sethi’s eye. Despite some hesitation, he went ahead with the haircut and documented the process on video.
Midway through the trim, Sethi humorously questioned, “Bhai kya kar diya isne?” expressing doubt about how the cut was turning out. But by the end, the transformation won the internet’s approval. Social media users praised the barber’s skills, with one user commenting, “You look nice, bro. He’s done a good job,” while another joked, “This guy reversed your age by 5 years!”
Sethi paid using a local mobile payment system similar to India’s UPI before thanking the barber and heading off.
The video quickly gained attention online, with people calling the haircut both stylish and economical. “In India, this cut would cost ₹250-₹500,” one person noted, highlighting the affordability in China.
Devang Sethi, a former corporate employee, has been travelling the world since 2018. Through his YouTube channel, he aims to inspire others to explore the globe or enjoy the journey through his lens.
