India’s 4x400m Relay Team Qualifies for Asian Athletics Championships Final with Best Performance

India’s men’s 4x400m relay team, consisting of Rince Joseph, Dharmveer Choudhary, Manu Thekkinalil Saji, and Mohit Kumar, delivered an impressive performance at the 26th Asian Athletics Championships, securing their place in the final with their best-ever effort. The quartet clocked 3:06.28 seconds in the heats on Thursday, finishing first in their heat and securing direct qualification.

They outpaced strong teams like China, which finished with a time of 3:06.79, and the host nation Korea, which recorded 3:10.05. The Indian relay team will start from lane five in the final scheduled for later in the evening. The final features tough competition from countries such as Sri Lanka, China, and Kazakhstan, with Sri Lanka entering as the season’s fastest team, boasting a time of 3:01.56.

In the women’s 10,000m final, India’s Sanjeevani Jadhav delivered a season-best timing of 33:08.17 seconds to finish fifth. Close behind, Seema secured the sixth position with a timing of 33:08.23 seconds. The race was dominated by Kazakhstan’s Daisy Jepkemei, who won gold with an impressive time of 30:48.44, followed by Japan’s Ririrak Hironika (30:56.32) and Mikuni Yada (31:12.21).

So far, India has earned eight podium finishes in the championships, including two gold, four silver, and two bronze medals, showcasing strong performances across multiple events.
