Instagram Creators Can Now See If Their Posts Are Blocked For Recommendations

Instagram, one of the most popular social media platforms, has been coming up with numerous updates and changes. As per the latest development, the meta-owned platform will now warn the creators and businesses if their posts are not been recommended to other users, and are being blocked from recommendation and discovery aspects.

Notably, the firm is broadening Account Status, according to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, “So professionals would be able to understand if their content is eligible to be recommended to non-followers.” As per this new development, the professionals would now be able to check if their content is blocked for being recommended to non-followers.

Profile -> Menu -> Settings -> Account -> Account status : This way, one would be able to check if his/her content is eligible for post recommendations. “So that you yourself can check if your content is recommended or not, we are bringing up the new transparency tools,” said Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri.

When a post is flagged as being unsuitable for recommendations, creators and companies will have the option to edit, delete, or challenge Instagram’s decision. This kind of feature is available on YouTube where the creators can challenge the copyright strikes. Moreover, now the Instagram creators will also be able to experience similar features. 

With time, Instagram had been coming up with new features and updates. Instagram introduced a native affiliate marketing platform in June 2021 that creators could use to generate commissions depending on sales. The user-side label “Eligible for Commission” designates affiliate posts that have commission functionality enabled. MAC, Kopari, and Sephora were the launch partners.

Moreover, now this new feature would allow the users to check whether their content is eligible for recommendations or not!
