Jagdeep Sidhu is without a doubt one of the most renowned directors and writers in the Punjabi film industry. With movies like Qismat, Qismat 2, Sufna and many more, Jagdeep has played an important role in taking Punjabi Industry to where it is today. And now, he is all set to make his contribution as an actor with Laung Laachi 2.
Laung Laachi, released in 2018, starred Amberdeep Singh, Ammy Virk and Neeru Bajwa in the lead roles. Amberdeep also directed the superhit movie. However, in 2019, when ‘Laung Laachi 2’ was in its making process, it was announced that the star cast would go through a complete change. Various Instagram stories uploaded by Sargun Mehta revealed that she had replaced Neeru Bajwa as the female lead. In one of the stories, Jagdeep Sidhu announced that he will be playing the lead actor! Hence, announcing his acting debut in Laung Laachi 2.

Amberdeep would no longer be a part of thr cast. However, he still remains the director of the film. It was also revealed that Jagdeep Sidhu, who had always been reluctant to act in movies but rapper Badshah served as the perfect inspiration for him, revealed Jagdeep himself. Gurnaam Bhullar replaced Ammy Virk in the film.
Jagdeep Sidhu revealed that Badshah, who was set to make his acting debut in the Bollywood industry with the movie Khandaani Shafakhana, directed by Shilpi Dasgupta at the time of Laung Laachi 2 making, was the one who inspired him to step into the acting line. Also, Gurnaam Bhullar would now serve as the music director of the movie!
Laung Laachi was earlier set to be released in 2021 but COVID played its part and the film could not make it to theaters. We hope Amberdeep and his team soon announce the movie with a fresh release date so that we can enjoy the Laung Laachi drama once again, with the all new star cast!
