The collaborations between Bollywood and Punjabi Film Industries are now strengthening and happening more often. Now, the popular Punjabi filmmaker Jagdeep Sidhu has also announced his next Bollywood movie. Titled, ‘Sri’ the film will be a biopic based on the life of industrialist Srikanth Bolla.
Jagdeep made the announcement public through an Instagram post. The Qismat director shared the photo of the film’s clapboard from the Muhurat shot of the film. Jagdeep Sidhu has probably penned the story and screenplay of the film.
The film is going to be the much-awaited biopic of Srikanth Bolla. The man is an Indian industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries. He is the first international blind student in Management Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Srikanth’s biopic will star Rajkumar Rao in the leading role, and will also feature actors like Alaya F, Sharad Kelkar and south actor Jyothika in important roles. The film’s female lead Alaya F also shared a picture from the film’s Muhurat day and shared her feelings about the project on social media.
The film is being directed by Tushar Hiranandani who is also an acclaimed Bollywood writer. He has been a part of movies like ABCD, Half Girlfriend, Ek Villain and more.
Coming to more details of the film, Sri is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani. For now, the release date of the film is not finalised, but the fans are awaiting the same.
