Jaishankar Reaffirms India’s Anti-Terror Stance, Warns Pakistan on Nuclear Threats in Germany

India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, during a visit to Berlin, firmly reiterated that the country will not bow to terrorism or nuclear intimidation from Pakistan. Speaking at a joint press event with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, Jaishankar made it clear that any engagement with Pakistan will remain strictly bilateral and not open to outside mediation.

He thanked Germany for standing by India after last month’s deadly Pahalgam terrorist attack and appreciated their support for India’s counter-terror operations, including Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror infrastructure across the border. Wadephul condemned the attack and pledged Germany’s continued support in the global fight against terrorism.

Jaishankar also met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and key security officials to strengthen India-Germany cooperation in defense and regional stability. He emphasized India’s right to self-defense and the critical role Germany plays as a strategic partner.

Meanwhile, an Indian parliamentary delegation led by Kanimozhi briefed Russian leaders in Moscow on India’s firm stance against cross-border terrorism. Russia echoed India’s position, expressing solidarity and support.

Similar delegations are engaging with lawmakers across Japan, UAE, and European countries, urging global pressure on Pakistan to curb terror groups operating from its soil. India’s message is clear: terrorism in any form is unacceptable, and global cooperation is key to eradicating it.
