Jaz Dhami Recalls The Time When He Met Yo Yo Honey Singh For High Heels

High Heels was released in 2012, but the song was way ahead of its time. The music, the rap, the vibe lives in the hearts of every Punjabi music fan to date. No party is complete without High Heels making everyone go mad on the floor. Do you know how Jaz Dhami and Yo Yo Honey Singh created this memorable song?

Jaz Dhami is a British singer and music producer. He was working on his upcoming album in 2012, and he had a desire to work with Honey Singh. Jaz Dhami describes Honey Singh not just as a singer, but a whole culture. “You’re wearing a hat, you are Yo Yo Honey Singh”, says Jaz describing Honey as the biggest Indian singer in the world. What made him want to work with Honey was the song “ Lak 28 Kudi Da ” alongside Diljit Dosanjh. Jaz Dhami was a huge fan of the song’s music and describes the song as Honey Singh’s “Peak”. He wanted to make something much bigger than Lak 28 Kudi Da.

He got in contact with Honey Singh’s manager and expressed his interest in working with him. The next day, to Jaz’s surprise, Honey drops a voice note singing “Tu Hi Sadi Jind TuHi Jaan ” for him. Jaz meets Honey Singh for the first time in Chandigarh and they start working on something. Before making High Heels, the artists made a number of songs. Honey would describe the song as revolutionary but Jaz would go on to reject it. It continued until Honey Singh got impressed by the “Peepni” sound in the song High Heels. And the world witnessed a true masterpiece.

High Heels is still considered to be one of the biggest songs for both the artists’ careers and probably the whole music industry.
