Jimmy Shergill’s Biggest Regret Is Rejecting Lead Role In This Superhit Bollywood Movie

One of those few films that will remain etched in the memory of film lovers in India is Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. The drama reviewing the lives of three friends touched a chord with the audience, when it was released in 2009. Starring Aamir Khan, Ranganathan Madhavan and Sharman Joshi as engineering students, the film is motivated by Chetan Bhagat’s novel, Five Point Someone. But before Aamir Khan, Ranganathan Madhavan and Sharman Joshi, Jimmy Shergill was also offered to be in the film.

Surprised? Yes we were too. Jimmy Shergill once revealed in an interview that he was offered 3 Idiots. But due to some reasons he hasn’t got the role. When asked about which character he was asked, he said that in lead. While he got the offer he was in America for shooting and during that time someone else got his role. The actor always regretted not doing such a huge film. And it was a pleasure working with Rajkumar Hirani, says Jimmy.

Meanwhile, in his early career, Jimmy appeared with a cute, chocolaty boy image in films like ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai’, ‘Dil Hai Tumhara’, ‘Haasil’ and ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’. And if he could appear in 3 Idiots, we would see a new side of Jimmy Shergill.
