
On Friday, Reliance Jio has announced that i t is launching two mobile plans with free subscription of Netflix.
Jio’s CEO in an official statement said that “We are committed to bringing world-class services to our users. The launch of Netflix bundles with our prepaid plan is yet another step to demonstrate our resolve.
Our partnership with global partners like Netflix has grown in strength, and together we are creating use cases for the rest of the world to follow”.
This plan is a first such plan globally which has a partnership with Netflix.
Jio already has a free Netflix subscription in their postpaid plans but this is the world’s first plan to offer a subscription with prepaid plans.
Now, 400 million Jio prepaid users can also avail the benefits of Netflix subscription if they resort to Jio Prepaid bundled plan.
As qouted by Gadgets 360,Netflix Vice President of APAC Partnerships Tony Zameczkowski said “Over the years, we have launched a variety of successful local shows, documentaries and films, which have been loved by audiences across India. Our collection of must-watch stories is growing and our new prepaid bundle partnership with Jio will give more customers access to this exciting line-up of Indian content as well as some incredible stories from around the world”.
The two plans are priced at ₹1099 and ₹1499. They have 84 days validity with a Netflix subscription.
In ₹1099, users will get unlimited 5G data and Netflix mobile subscription for 84 days.
This type of Netflix plan is worth ₹149 per month.
If they go higher and pay ₹1499, users will get an option to watch Netflix either on phone or Television at one time with similar benefits of the lower version and 3GB 4G data everyday.
This Netflix plan if subscribed separately costs ₹199 per month.
