Karan Johar Slams Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas for Clash With THIS Movie

Second half of 2023 will witness the release of many blockbuster films that are surely going to give each other a tough competition.

Most of these films are likely to clash with each other as their release dates are almost same.

Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas is likely to clash with Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha.  On July 17, the makers of the film announced the official release date of Merry Christmas.

Earlier the film was supposed to release on December 23 but now it will hit the big screens on December 15. This Sriram Raghavan directorial also features Vijay Sethupathi, Radhika Apte, Sanjay Kapoor, Tinnu Anand, Aditi Govitrikar and Vinay Pathak.

Karan Johar’s reaction on the clashing of both the films

Soon after the poster of the official release date got released Karan Johar took to Threads and expressed his opinions on clashing of the films.

He wrote “Clashing on a date without the courtesy of a phone call is hopefully not the way forward for the studios and producers …. If we don’t stand united in these tough and challenging theatrical days then calling us a fraternity is futile….”

Through this post, it seems like Karan Johar is quite pissed at the makers of Merry Christmas as earlier this month Karan Johar announced the release date of his film Yodha.

However, users are unhappy with Karan Johar’s post and they have flooded the comment section with their views.

One user commented ‘And not to forget you too clashed with ajay’s shivaay and even released simbaa just a week post zero. So it’s fine karan movies do clash it’s normal.”

Another commented, “Where was the fraternity and all the support when he clashed ADHM with Shivaay?”

Other films that will clash on the box office

OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar is set to release on August 11 clashing with Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2.

Earlier these films were also clashing Ranbir Kapoor Animal but now the release date has been postponed.
