Filmmaker Karan Johar has raised excitement by revealing a brand-new poster of his upcoming romantic drama, Dhadak 2. On Wednesday, Johar took to Instagram to share the first official look of the lead pair, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. The poster shows the duo in an intense, romantic moment, sparking curiosity about their on-screen chemistry.
In his caption, Johar wrote, “Do dil ek dhadak. #Dhadak2 trailer out this Friday. Releasing in cinemas on 1st August.” The film’s trailer will be released on July 11.
Dhadak 2 is the sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, which starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter and revolved around the issue of inter-caste love. While the original had innocence and youthful emotion, the sequel seems to bring a deeper, more intense love story.
Siddhant Chaturvedi also gave fans a sneak peek into the film’s unique soundtrack. He posted, “A poem by Shailendra. Couplet by Bhagat Singh. Kishore Kumar’s voice. Thomas Jefferson’s words. Little bit of SRK. And orchestration done in Budapest.”
With its mix of emotion, history, and music, Dhadak 2 promises a powerful cinematic experience when it hits theatres on August 1.
