Kartarpur Sahib Corridor To Re-Open From THIS Date

After many puzzled discussions and rumors of the re-opening of the Kartarpur Corridor, the Indian Government finally marks the period to it and has decided to reopen the Kartarpur Corridor from 17th Of November, just before the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab.

It is obviously one of the best decisions made after many talk sessions rounding for the reopening and has turned into a celebration for the Punjabis as of now. The Home Minister tweeted an official statement regarding the reopening of the Kartarpur Corridor from 17th November, which is tomorrow. This has been a news to cheer for all the Punjabis and Sikh Pilgrims. He tweeted, ‘PM Narendra Modi Government has decided to re-open the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor from tomorrow, Nov 17.’

It was just some days ago when the Ministry of Home Affairs allowed 1500 Sikh pilgrims to visit Pakistan on the occasion of the 553rd birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 19th November but no statement regarding the opening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was made from the government’s end. But seeing the concern of the Sikhs and Punjabis the government has finally made an absolute decision to re-open the corridor on 17th November.

On Tuesday, BJP leader Harjit Singh Grewal also said that the Kartarpur Corridor will be thrown open for the devotees from Wednesday and the registration for the same to start on the same date.

The Kartarpur Corridor is a visa-free border crossing connecting the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan with India. The festival of Gurupurab is on 19th November and this has turned out to be the best decision to let the Sikh Pilgrims/community visit the birthplace of Guru Nanak on the auspicious day.
