After two iconic films, the ‘Aashiqui’ franchise is returning with another project of love. After the heart wrenching ending of Aashiqui 2 in 2013, fans were asking the same question for 9 long years that ‘When Aashiqui 3 is coming?’ Now Bollywood’s new king of Box Office Kartik Aaryan came up with the answer.
Kartik Aaryan unveiled a musical poster to announce the arrival of Aashiqui 3 in style. He not only announced the third installment of the iconic film but also revealed his excitement to work with one of the best in the business Anurag Basu.
Kartik posted a motion poster of Aashiqui 3 that features the wizard of hindi music, Arijit Singh’s vocals. Kartik captioned the post with, “Ab Tere Bin Ji Lenge Hum Zeher Zindagi Ka Pi Lenge Hum #Aashiqui3 This one is going to be Heart-wrenching !! My First with Basu Da”

Aashiqui 3 will be directed by Anruag Basu under the banner of Vishesh Films and T-Series. Mukesh Bhatt and Bhusan Kumar will produce the film. Aashiqui 3 is the second sequel to the 1990s superhit romantic film Aashiqui starring Rahul Roy, Anu Agarwal and Deepak Tijori.
Aashiqui as a musical film became a cult. Kumar Sanu became a superstar singer after singing multiple blockbuster tracks for the film. In 2013, makers decided to make a sequel of the 1990s hit. Mohit Suri was given the tough job to direct the film. It was a huge challenge for the makers, especially the musical team, to match the level of its prequel.
Music of Aashiqui 2 was given by Ankit Tiwari, Jeet Ganguly and Mithoon, who actually did a fantastic job. It was their hard work that made Aashiqui 2, one of the best bollywood films in terms of music. The film won almost every award in the musical category in the year 2013. Aashiqui 2 also gave the fame to Arijit Singh that he always deserved.
Arijit Singh was a major reason behind the success of Aashiqui 2. He sang almost every song of the movie including the iconic love track that became a symbol of love in the last decade, ‘Tum Hi Ho’. Arijit was also the playback singer for ‘Aasan Nahi Yahan’, ‘Milne Hai Mujhse Aayi’, ‘Chahun Main Ya Naa’ and ‘Hum Mar Jayenge’.
