Kota Student Di*s by Su*cide After Scoring 53% in Class 10 Board Exams

A tragic incident was reported from Rajasthan’s Kota district, where a 17-year-old student allegedly died by suicide after being upset over his Class 10 examination results.

The incident took place in the Vigyan Nagar police station area. The student is believed to have jumped in front of a train near the Sanjay Nagar railway crossing. Passers-by who spotted the body quickly informed the police.

A police team reached the location and identified the student using a motorcycle parked nearby. By tracing the bike’s registration number, the authorities contacted the family, who were left devastated upon receiving the news.

The student, Dushyant, had recently passed his Class 10 exams and had started working at a local shop after the results were declared. On the day of the incident, he was sent out to collect goods but never returned. The shopkeeper, concerned by his absence, contacted his family.

Friends later told the family that Dushyant had visited the neighborhood that evening and had shared his disappointment about scoring 53 percent in the exams, missing the first-division mark. He seemed visibly distressed.

The police said, “The exact cause will be confirmed only after a full investigation.” The body was taken to MBS Hospital for postmortem, after which it will be handed over to the family.
