Lalit Modi, the founder, first chairman and commissioner of the IPL, has announced that he is dating Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. In a social media post, Lalit Modi wrote about his new beginnings with Sushmita Sen. He tweeted:
“Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families – not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic).”
As soon as the Tweet was posted, it went viral across the internet, getting different reactions from netizens across the social media. People when started speculating, asking questions on Lalit Modi and Sushmita Sen’s wedding, Lalit again posted a tweet, saying:
“Just for clarity. Not married – just dating each other. That too it will happen one day. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾”
Apart from being a successful businessman and cricket administrator, Lalit Modi, 59, is also known for his political terms with the BJP. During the tenure of Mrs. Vasundhara Raje as the chief minister of Rajasthan from 2013-18, the then opposition party Congress, even used to call Lalit Modi as the “super-CM” of Rajasthan.
After being charged with wrongdoing, indiscipline, and financial issues, Modi was suspended from the BCCI. After a commission found him guilty of these allegations, BCCI opened a probe and banned him for life in 2013. Modi refuted all claims and attributed them to political rivals, especially the Congress MP Shashi Tharoor.
Modi relocated to London just before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) opened an inquiry on him for potential financial irregularities. He is the president and managing director of Modi Enterprises and the executive director of Godfrey Phillips India.
While Sushmita Sen, 46, has two daughters – Renee and Alisah. The former Miss Universe and bollywood actress is known for her exemplary acting skills as well as fitness regime. In December last year, Sushmita Sen announced her breakup with Rohman Shawl on Instagram. Now Sushmita Sen and business tycoon Lalit Modi are dating each other.
