Legendary And Veteran Cricketer Yashpal Sharma Dies At 66

The fans of Indian Cricket Team are in extreme shock as the legendary cricketer Yashpal Sharma has died at the age of 66 this morning. As per reports, Yashpal Sharma had a cardiac arrest after he returned from his morning walk and took his last breath at around 7:30, Tuesday morning. 

He was especially remembered for his contribution in winning the 1983 world cup led by Kapil Dev. He was the second highest scorer of the match as he scored 240 runs, from 8 innings. 

This news has not only saddened the fans, but the cricketers and the entire nation. Expressing his feelings about the same, Shikhar Dhawan tweeted,

Shocked to hear of the passing of #YashpalSharma ji. An Indian cricket hero and a part of the legendary 1983 World Cup winning squad. My condolences to his loved ones.”

Virendra Sehwag tweeted,

“So sorry to hear about #YashpalSharma Paaji ‘s passing away, one of the heroes of our 1983 WC win. Heartfelt condolences. Om Shanti.”
