‘Ma Belle’ By AP Dhillon Selected As CBC’s Sound Of The Olympic Games 2020

The biggest sporting stage in the world has been set up. The global sporting festival of the Olympic Games began from 23 July and will conclude on 8 August. This year the games are being held in the capital city, Tokyo, of Japan. India’s representation in this year’s edition has been better than the last year’s but the attention grabbing statistics are that 40% of the total Indian athletes at the Tokyo Olympics are from Punjab and Haryana.

While the contribution of Punjabi athletes at the world’s biggest sporting stage is mind-blowing, Punjabi Music is making its contribution in representing the country’s music at the world stage too. Among 12 chart-topping artists all over the world chosen to represent World Music, AP Dhillon has also been selected to represent India and Canada.

CBC Music has made a selection of songs from all over the world and different countries, to represent their musical culture at the world level as the ‘sound of this year’s Olympics’. Ma Belle by AP Dhillon featuring Amari is one of the tracks selected as sound of this year’s Olympics.

In addition to AP Dhillon representing India and Canada, some of the biggest homegrown musical stars from all over the world include Gyakie representing Ghana, Gen Hoshino representing Japan and many more.
