Maa Trailer Review: An Outstanding Starcast To Represent The Fight, Struggles And Emotions Of A Strong Mother

The Punjabi Film Industry and all the fans are more than ready to witness the release of a strong and inspiring movie ‘Maa’. The film’s trailer has recently dropped on YouTube and is extremely winning. There is a lot in the trailer that has left us more eager for the release of Maa.

Starting with the star cast, outstanding is the perfect word to describe it. The film stars Divya Dutta in the strong leading role who is supported by Gurpreet Ghuggi, Gippy Grewal and Babbal Rai as other lead actors. Apart for these, the film also stars an amazing set of supporting actors including Rana Ranbir, Prince Kanwaljit Singh, Raghveer Boli, Vadda Grewal, Aarushi Sharma, Ashish Duggal, Nirmal Rishi, Gurpreet Bhangu, Tarsem Paul, Parkash Gadhu and Rupinder Rupi.

Each and every actor that has been mentioned above needs no introduction as the fans already know what magic they create when they’re on screen. But Divya Dutta undoubtedly is the odd one out because she is marking her comeback to Punjabi Film Industry after 2011 (The Lion Of Punjab). Dutta will play the role of a mother who gives birth to a son and adopts one. And how an impartial mother nurtures her two sons will surely be one of the most heart-warming aspects of the film. But fans should not be mistaken by thinking that she’s only the epitome of pure love and motherhood in the film, because she will be transforming into a strong woman who knows how to fight for her family, land and rights.

Moreover, Gurpreet Ghuggi is seen playing the husband of Dutta. He is kind, empathetic and owns a king-size heart. On the other hand, Gippy Grewal and Babbal Rai will play the two sons in the movie. While Gippy stays in the village with her mother, Rai opts for studying in the city and avoiding his mother.

The story of the film surely is going to revolve around the life and generosity of Divya Dutta who’s character will have the grip of various emotions and expressions. Watching her back on-screen delivering dialogues in Punjabi really feels like a bliss to watch. There is no doubt that she indeed is a brilliant actor, but still her power-packed comeback in Punjabi industry is making us more curious.

When talking about the trailer of Maa, a truck full of appreciation should also be sent to Rana Ranbir, who has written the story of this amazing film. The sneak peek of the storyline and dialogues in the trailer is enough for us to know how strong and influential the film is going to be. Also, Rana Ranbir is the man wearing multiple hats in this project as not only has he written the story for the film, but he will also be seen playing a negative role in it. He has proved to be an acclaimed actor many times, but it’s not often when we see him playing a negative role, so this time, Maa is surely going to be an all-new experience for all the Rana Ranbir fans also.

The little peek-a-boo game with the film’s songs and background score that has been introduced in the trailer is also seeming to be very appealing. Since, no story, especially the one with extreme levels of emotions is complete without good music, we are looking forward to Maa’s team bringing utmost brilliance through its music.

The sailor of the ship, Baljit Singh Deo, has made sure to put everything in place and direct every actor with perfection. Overall, the trailer of the film has successfully convinced us to book the tickets for the first day’s first show. The film is set to hit the silver screens on 6 May, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, and no other could have done equal justice to release this special film starring a mother (Divya Dutta) in the character of a mother in the lead.
