Maharashtra: “Sankat” On Uddhav Sarkar, Shivsena Leader Eknath Shinde Camps In Surat With 26 MLAs

The Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Maharashtra, an alliance govt of NCP, Shivsena and the Indian National Congress, is facing a trouble for the third time in the last 2.5 years of its tenure. This time it seems like a major blow to the Shivsena, with its “Sankatmochak” Eknath Shinde, one of the most trusted and loyalists of late Shri Bala Saheb Thackeray and 25 other Shivsena MLAs, have reportedly moved to Gujarat’s Surat.

Last night, the MVA govt faced a blow with more than 10 MLAs cross voting in favour of the BJP candidate, leading to the defeat of one candidate of the MVA. But shockingly, this time it’s Eknath Shinde, the most loyal and close aide of the Thackeray family, reportedly unhappy with the party leadership over the functioning of the government.

As per the sources, as many as 26 of the Shivsena rebel MLAs have camped at a private hotel in Surat, surrounded by heavy police deployment all across the campus and well as tight security check on Gujarat and Maharashtra border. Though Shivsena stalwart Sanjay Raut has claimed that all the rebels are in touch, adding that Eknath Shinde and the other MLAs would soon return back to Mumbai.

On the other hand, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, the “chanakya” behind the formation and 2.5 year of functioning of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, has said, in a press conference, that it’s the internal matter of Shivsena, claiming that he will be meeting CM Uddhav Thackeray soon. Pawar also claimed that all the MLAs of the NCP are intact, though when asked about Eknath Shinde, Pawar said, “it’s the internal matter of Shivsena”.

As per the numbers, amongst the 64 MLAs of Shivsena, reportedly 26 have moved to Surat with Eknath Shinde. Now all eyes are set on the next move of the Shivsena rebel Shinde. Meanwhile the BJP has distanced itself from the entire incidence, claiming it has nothing to do with the internal matter of Shivsena, but the rebels are in Gujarat, surrounded by heavy police deployment across the hotel, makes it clear that the BJP definitely has an active role behind the curtains in this entire political tussle.
