The upcoming Punjabi Movie Puaada had already made everyone excited about its release. But the makers of the film have decided to halt the release of the film for some time. In a recent announcement, the team announced, “Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 and new guidelines for the cinema with weekend and night closures of theatres we have decided to postpone our movie Puaada until further notice.”
The teaser and songs of the upcoming movie were already released on YouTube, which received a positive response from the audience. Puaada will star Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles.
Earlier the movie was scheduled for its release on 11th March, and later it was postponed to April 2nd. We know this announcement is a let down for the excited audience but the makers are in no mood to bear the loss. Closure of theatres will cost them a loss of crores.
Last year, COVID-19 adversely affected the Film Industries, that’s why the audience has expectations from this year. But continuously rising COVID cases have put a question mark on the growth of the Punjabi Movie Industry for this year as well.
