Virat’s Fan Predicted “Virat Will Break Sachin’s Record In ODI”. Unfortunately He Is No More To Witness The Moment

Virat Kohli created history in the semi-final between India and New Zealand in the World Cup 2023. He scored the 50th century of his ODI career. Now he has become the player who has scored the most centuries in ODIs. Virat broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record. Sachin himself was present at Wankhede to watch this match.

A man predicted this 11 years ago

The special thing about Virat’s record breaking performance is that a random facebook user named Shiju Balanandan predicted in 2012 that Virat Kohli will break Sachin’s record. He put up a facebook post regarding this in July 2012.

Finally the man’s prediction came true yesterday after 11 years and Virat actually broke the record but the man who predicted it is no more. Shiju Balanandan passed away in 2018. But the man with a great heart predicted well and finally his idol made his prediction true.

The special thing is that to break this record, Virat chose the Wankhede Stadium of Mumbai, the home ground of great Sachin and the date of debut of Master Blaster.

Sachin made his international cricket debut 34 years ago on 15 November 1989 through a test against Pakistan. Virat completed his ‘record breaking’ century by taking two runs off the ball of Lockie Ferguson in the 42nd over of the innings. Sachin Tendulkar was also present on the field who looked very happy on his achievement.
