Mankirat Aulakh has released his latest track “Ali Baba” which also features Japji Khaira in the music video. And in the video, we noticed Mankirat paying tribute to late Ashwani Thaper.
Ashwani Thaper was a Dop who has directed this video of Ali Baba as well. When the track ends, Mankirat Aulakh and Japji Khaira appear on screens and talk about the late artist Ashwani Thaper.
Mankirat appreciated Ashwani’s work and said that he had worked on many great projects of the Punjabi Music Industry. Aulakh also revealed that while they were shooting for the music video of ‘Ali Baba’, Ashwani told him that he is happy to work with him (Mankirat) as it’s his dream coming true. Mankirat added, ‘It is very unfortunate that this song (Ali Baba) became our first and last project together.

Ashwani Thaper was genuinely a very talented artist who liked to put his heart and soul in his projects. We lost the artist last year, but his work is still here among us.
