Mann Cabinet Meet: 26,000 Govt Jobs, Door-to-Door Ration, One MLA-One Pension In Punjab

During the election campaign before the elections, the AAP uses to slam the then Congress govt for high unemployment in the state, and promised to provide jobs after coming to power.

In March 2022, just as the Bhagwant Mann took office as the new Chief Minister, a proposal for creating 25,000 government jobs was passed in the first cabinet meeting. These vacancies were made available in various government departments and the Punjab Police Department.

Now, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has announced the approval of 26,000 job recruitments in various govt departments. In a tweet, the Punjab CM announced (in Punjabi) the big decisions taken in the cabinet meeting held today. “Approval of 26,454 recruitments of various departments,” was one of the decisions that were taken in the meeting.

One of these decisions is the creation of over 26 thousand new vacancies for government job recruitments.

Details regarding these recruitments and the 26 thousand vacancies that will be made available to the people of Punjab soon. It must be noted that the recruitment will happen for 26.454 vacancies for government jobs in the state. Detailed notifications regarding these vacancies and the selection process will be updated soon.

Along with the approval of 26 thousand job recruitments, the door-to-door ration delivery scheme has also been announced. Apart from this, the approval of compensation of Rs 41.8 crores for soft crops failure in Sri Muktsar Sahib and extension of time for depositing fees for small transporters was also announced by CM Bhagwant Mann. While the “one MLA-one pension” scheme announced by the Mann Cabinet, is seen as one of the most important decisions of the AAP govt.
