Story & Screenplay

Let’s begin our Mera Baba Nanak movie review by discussing the story of the movie. So the story of the film is centered on the results of following the ideals and principles of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The story majorly revolves around Sahib and Nimrat, a couple who have unwavering faith in Baba Nanak. Destiny also puts some difficulties in front of the loving couple but their faith towards Baba Nanak remains unaffected. Whatever happens in between that urges us to have faith in the almighty is what this movie is all about.

Movie’s story is pretty simple, predictable yet soothing. The slow paced but calm screenplay gives this movie a divine touch. Overall, we liked the story which landed well all because of its outstanding screenplay.

Acting & Performances

Now moving further to discuss the acting and performances of the movie in our Mera Baba Nanak movie review. Let’s begin with the main man himself Amanmeet Singh, who portrayed the role of Sahib, a confident and idealistic man who has utter faith in Baba Nanak. Amanmeet looked very graceful in his role and we didn’t find any single fault in his performance, he was that good!

Harshjot Kaur, who played Nimrat in the film, completely cast herself into the character. The way she delivered her dialogues and acted was such a treat to watch. Her smile was one thing that surely helped her to own his character and we loved it.

Other than Amanmeet and Harshjot, Vikramjeet Virk and Mintu Kapa also nailed their parts. Mintu Kapa, despite a short screen time, left a non-erasable mark on viewers’ minds.

Apart from them, other supporting actors also played their roles gracefully, which helped the movie look so pure and good.

Writing & Direction

If we talk about the writing and direction of this film in our Mera Baba Nanak movie review, then kudos to the team. Amanmeet Singh has written such a pure and family entertainer that not only entertains you but also guides you to have faith in god and good deeds.

Direction wise Amanmeet and team has also pulled off a good job. Yes, few of our concerns are related to the pace and duration of the movie and also the screen times of the actors. Apart from that the team has done a good job.

Music & Dialogues

Music is the best part of this film. Songs like Mehandi, Qarib, Saheb Ji and especially the title track just took the level of the movie to another heights. Not only the songs but the BGM is so soothing and calm that you’re gonna love for sure.

Movie’s dialogues are also one of its kind as most of them are written with the reference to Guru Nanak Dev Ji. However, the repetition of some dialogues could be avoided.
