“Mexico Controversy” Singer Kulbir Jhinjer Offers Clarification After Facing Backlash

Punjabi music industry and controversy is still a better love story than twilight (Twilight is an amazing story btw, no offence). New day, new controversy on the doors. This time it’s Kulbir Jhinjer who’s fallen prey to the public outrage. The singer recently dropped the poster of his upcoming track “Mexico”. The poster attracted a lot of audience, but not for the good.

People blamed Kulbir for copying one of Karan Aujla’s songs “Mexico Koka”. The name already looks familiar and the fans pointed out that the colours and the theme of the poster too seems familiar.

So the post started flooding out with comments from the fans. To clarify the issue, Kulbir uploaded another post on his account. He wanted to show that Deep Jandu, had already mastered the song on 9/11, last year (2020) and Mexico Koka by Karan Aujla came out this year only.

Kulbir urged the public not to be too judgemental and look beyond controversies. Enjoying music should be the sole motive of every music fan and that is what music is meant for.
