The recently released Punjabi movie Mitran Da Naa Chalda has landed in unwanted controversy. A protest has been ongoing demanding a ban on the film for disrespecting the Hindu religion and hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu community.
Mitran Da Naa Chalda starring Gippy Grewal, Tania, Rajdip Shoker, Shweta Tiwari and more was released on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 March 2023. And now, the film is facing backlash from some people in society.

The Anti-Corruption Association from Bathinda has raised its voice against Gippy Grewal’s latest movie Mitran Da Naa Chalda. The association has also submitted the demand to the SSP of Bathinda and has also demanded a ban on the film.
Gaurav Arora, the president of the Anti-Corruption Association’s Sports Cell along with some people stood outside a mall in Bathinda and protested against the release of Mitran Da Naa Chalda. The protesters claim they are hurt by the film’s makers for portraying goddess Kali in the film and using inappropriate language for the same.
The protestors also expressed outrage as they felt the makers of Mitran Da Naa Chalda have disrespected the Hindu religion. And they have also demanded a boycott and ban on the film’s release.

For now, no one from the film’s star cast or makers team has reacted or addressed the ongoing controversy against the film. The videos and pictures of the protest are going viral on social media, and the official team of Mitran Da Naa Chalda are expected to react to the controversy soon.
