Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra has broken the glass of boycott trend and set the Box Office on fire. The film has already broken many records and has become the second highest weekend grosser after KGF: Chapter 2 post pandemic.
Brahmastra is directed by Ayan Mujherji and has crossed the mark of collecting 300 crores worldwide. Hence, the success of Brahmastra has made Ayan Mukherji more confident about his upcoming projects on Astraverse. The director is now planning to make more movies like Jalastra and Vanarastra on different timelines and make it a large-scale Astraverse.

A source close to the development revealed, “A lot was riding on the box office success of Brahmastra. If the film emerged as a box office success, the makers planned to explore this desi superhero universe further. Brahmastra has clocked over Rs 300 crore worldwide at the ticket window, and these numbers have given the makers the confidence to take the storyline ahead and explore various astras and their origins.”
The sequel of the film will be called Brahmastra Part Two: Dev and was already announced at the end of Brahmastra Part One. The film is expected to star Ranveen Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead role, but no official announcement of the same has been made yet.

Talking to Indian Express, Ayan Mukerji had said that they have learned how to make movies like Brahmastra, and we are excited about the second part. He did noy specifically announce the date but said the target is December 2025 for the second installment. Ayan concluded that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor would also be part of the next Brahmastra films, and work on this will start soon.
