Much Awaited Punjabi Films That Are Scheduled To Release In 2022
Jodi
This Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira starrer upcoming Punjabi film is at the top if talked about the movies that are awaited for long now. Jodi has been hung in the middle of its release for many months now. Directed by Amberdeep Singh, Jodi was scheduled for its release in June 2021 but it got delayed and scheduled to release in April 2022 now.
Jattan Da Munda Gaun Lagya
Sidhu Moosewala and Amberdeep Singh! Already made an excitement in people’s minds with the astounding names collaborating for this upcoming Punjabi movie. After two consecutive successful movies of Sidhu Moosewala, Moosa Jatt and Yes I Am Student, Sidhu is all set for his third movie to be released on 18 March 2022. Sidhu and Amberdeep will be seen working together for the first time for any project and that too a movie.
Rabb Da Radio 3
After the two successful parts, Rabb Da Radio has its threequel scheduled to be released in the forthcoming year. Where Rabb Da Radio would be remembered for lifetime because of everything amazing in that and Rabb Da Radio 2 as it bagged the prestigious 67th National Award. The 3rd part of the film, Rabb Da Radio 3 is set to release on 8 April 2022 which will have Tarsem Jassar and Simi Chahal in the lead roles once again.
Daakuan Da Munda 2
23 July 2021 was the date when the sequel of the superhit movie Daakuan Da Munda was set to have a theatrical release. But due to some reasons it got pushed to the next year that is 2022 and is now ready to release on 4 March 2022. Dev Kharoud will be sharing screen with Japji Khaira in Daakuan Da Munda 2 for the very first time.
Saunkan Saunkne
Sargun Mehta and Ammy Virk are familiar on-screen couple faces in the Pollywood industry but Nimrat Khaira and Ammy Virk are all new for the audience, and this is what Saunkan Saunkne is very much special for. Nimrat & Ammy will be seen sharing the big screens for the first time in this upcoming movie which is to be released in cinemas on 14 April 2022.
Baajre Da Sitta
This multi starrer Punjabi film will have a worldwide theatrical release on 15 July 2022. It will feature the public favourites, Tania, Ammy Virk and the veteran actor Guggu Gill, in the lead characters. Noor Chahal is the another new addition in the starcast who will be making her debut appearance with Baajre Da Sitta.
Kokka
Neeru Bajwa and Gurnam Bhullar on the same screen! That is already amazing to hear, both of them are very much loved by the audience. The peoples favourite, Neeru Bajwa will be seen opposite the 3-film old actor Gurnam Bhullar for the first time in this upcoming movie. Kokka is ready for its release on 20 May 2022.
Shikra
A unique name with a probable upcoming unique concept, Shikra is set for its release in June 2022. Amberdeep Singh’s another directed film for the year 2022 will have audience favourite Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role. However, we have no other information related to this upcoming movie for the audience. But this would be one of the most anticipated films of the year.
Lekh
Lekh was awaited for a long time, Gurnam Bhullar and Tania will be seen in their next movie after Guddiyan Patole on 1 April 2022 in theatres. Lekh will be a tribute to one of the legendary Punjabi films, Mel Karade Rabba which featured Neeru Bajwa, Jimmy Shergil and Gippy Grewal in it. Lekh will be a treat for all the Punjabi cinema lovers, for sure.
