Neha Kakkar Faces Backlash Over Melbourne Show No-Show, Organizers Dispute Her Claims

Popular playback singer Neha Kakkar is caught in controversy after skipping her scheduled performance in Melbourne. While the singer claimed that unavoidable delays led to her not taking the stage, event organizers have pushed back, stating she refused to perform because of the low audience count.

The concert, set for April 20 at Melbourne’s Festival Hall, was part of her Australia and New Zealand tour. According to Kakkar, technical issues and time mismanagement disrupted the show, leading to her decision to cancel her performance. In an emotional social media post, she apologized to fans and promised to return under better circumstances.

However, promoters from The Chocolate Room Australia presented a different story. They alleged that Kakkar arrived on time, inspected the venue, and then decided not to perform after seeing a crowd of just 700 attendees. “She said, ‘Only 700 people? I won’t perform,’” claimed the organizers. They also expressed disappointment over her failure to inform fans directly at the venue and demanded an apology for what they labeled as unprofessional conduct.

The incident has sparked a wave of debate online. While some fans support Kakkar and empathize with her version, others have criticized the decision, calling it disrespectful to those who showed up.

As the dust settles, fans await clarity, but one thing is clear, the Melbourne leg of Neha’s tour didn’t hit the right note.
