Non-Bailable Warrant Issued Against Sapna Choudhary With Regard To A High Profile Cheating Case

A case of cheating has been registered against Haryana’s queen dancer Sapna Chaudhary. Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Sapna. It is being said that a charge sheet has been filed against Sapna by the Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi. This complaint was filed against her by a person named Pawan Chawla and this case is of the year 2021.

It is being told that after investigating the case, the Economic Offenses Wing has registered an FIR against Sapna Choudhary and has issued a non-bailable warrant in this high profile cheating case. It is also being said that many victims are involved in this case.

According to reports, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Rashmi Gupta has issued a non-bailable warrant against Sapna Chaudhary as she did not appear in the court. CJM said- Exemption was sought by the accused on the last day of hearing  and even today despite calling the accused, she did not appear in the court here.

It is being said that the next date fixed for the presence of the accused/further proceedings against Sapna Choudhary is 25th October 2024. The court on Tuesday ordered that a non-bailable warrant be issued against the accused.

Media reports also say that advocate Randhir Lal Sharma and complainant Pawan Chawla appeared through video conferencing. It has been said that accused Sapna had taken money from the complainants on some pretext and in connection with some work. After this the accused and his family members misused that money and used it for their personal use.

On May 28, 2024, a case was registered against her under Section 420 (Fraud) and Section 406 (Criminal Breach of Trust) of the Indian Penal Code.

However, this is not the first time that a case of fraud has been registered against Sapna Chaudhary. Even before this, in the year 2018, a fraud case was registered against her. On October 13, 2018, an FIR was registered against Sapna at Ashiana police station in Lucknow. She was accused of not coming to perform in the program despite taking money. In this event, tickets of Rs 300 were sold to the people and when Sapna Choudhary did not reach the program, the audience created a lot of ruckus.

After a complaint was registered in the case, Sapna Choudhary surrendered on May 10, 2022 and along with this she applied for interim bail, which was accepted by the court.
